Golden Skin Rejuvenator

I developed this recipe with my talented apprentices from 2001, Dawn Page, Jodie Rich, Joan LaFever and Peggy Fields. Dawn wanted to make something that would help fade scars, and she's been using this cream for a few weeks with good results. The rose hips and helichrysum may pack a powerful punch for helping fade scar tissue, but even if you don't have scars, this is great nourishment for dry, cracked skin.

Keep this fresh, all-natural product in the fridge to help inhibit bacterial growth and extend shelf life. And, as always, use a spatula *not your fingers* to dispense the product to help prevent contamination. Enjoy!!

Ingredients:
60 grams rose hydrosol
1 teaspoon borax
10 grams extra virgin olive oil
10 grams jojoba oil
8 grams rose hips seed oil
2 grams heliocarrot oil
10 grams beeswax
2 grams rose hips CO2
50 drops lavender essential oil
50 drops  helichrysum essential oil

Blending Procedure:

Combine the olive oil, jojoba oil, rose hips seed oil, heliocarrot oil and beeswax in a large heat proof (I use Pyrex) glass measuring cup with a pour spout. Heat this oil/wax mixture in a hot water bath until the waxes are melted. Remove from heat.

Place the hydrosol and borax in a separate Pyrex cup and warm for about 15 minutes in another hot water bath.

After stirring the oils/wax mixture together to make sure it is evenly mixed, begin stirring the oil/wax mixture with an electric mixer on medium speed and add the hydrosol mixture as you stir. You will see the mixture begin to thicken as you blend it. Continue mixing until until Golden Skin Rejuvenator is thickened and rich. This should take about 5-10 minutes at most.
