Pumpkin Face Mask & Peel

 http://treatmentblackhead.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/pumpkin-facial-mask.jpg

This recipe takes advantage of the fullness of fall when pumpkins are available for everything from decorative display to homemade pies and soups. But my favorite thing about pumpkin flesh is that it is chock full of beta-carotene (providing its rich orange color) and Vitamin A, making it especially nourishing for your skin.

The pineapple in this recipe adds bromelain, a natural alpha hydroxy acid which gently exfolilates dead cells from the surface of the skin. Pumpkin Face Mask & Peel smells delicious and leaves your skin feeling radiant and smooth.

Blending Procedure:

   1. Use a very sharp knife to cut the pumpkin, and be extremely careful as the peel is very hard and you could easily cut yourself if you are not cautious!!

   2. Use the sharp knife to core the miniature pumpkin by cutting around the stem. Remove the stem and slice the pumpkin on a cutting board, loosely following the lines on the pumpkin peel. Cut about 6-8 pieces.

   3. Place pumpkin pieces (including seeds and strings) in a microwave safe dish with about 1/4 cup of water. Microwave for about 2 minutes, making the flesh soft. Remove from microwave and allow to cool a few minutes. Cut pumpkin peel from around flesh and discard peel.

   4. Place pumpkin flesh, seeds and strings into a small food processor with pineapple and process for about a minute until smooth.

   5. Add oats, almonds, milk and honey in that order, processing a bit after each. Add heliocarrot oil and process.

   6. Add essential oils last and process further. The texture of Pumpkin Face Mask & Peel should be rich and smooth, and just slightly grainy from the almonds.

   7. To use, apply a layer to clean and toned face and neck skin. Rest for 15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and follow with moisturizer.
